Rick questions if Israel could sabotage the agreement by attacking Beirut – how would Iran reaction? Izadi insists Tehran won’t leave Lebanon behind, because it doesn’t want a repeat of the Gaza genocide. Professor Izadi also also draws attention to Israel’s failing strategy in the region. He says that the infamous ‘Greater Israel’ project includes the territories of many Arab countries, that are now less willing to co-operate with Israel. Rick adds that Trump needs to cut US support for Benjamin Netanyahu before Israel violates Washington’s deal with Tehran. Foad Izadi believes that’s unrealistic as long as ‘Congress is Israeli-occupied territory’.
