Vis-rael: Video of Marco Rubio threatening to revoke US visas for critics of Israel resurfaces online
A video has resurfaced from May of last year of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio sparking a national debate about free speech. Specifically about Israel and just how far the United States should go to defend a foreign ally. In the video, Rubio says they will hold individuals and international organizations accountable for “rhetoric” against Israel. The administration says the policy is aimed at combating anti-Semitism. But here’s an important question: Who determines what crosses the line from protected political speech to actionable rhetoric? And what standards are used to make that determination? America Now anchor Ben Swann talks with independent journalist Melissa Witte about the video and what it means. And, most people know Viagra as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. But now researchers say the same drug may have the potential to slow the spread of cancer. America Now’s Jalyssa Dugrot has the details.
